The 8U (formerly Tyke) age division is for players born 2012/2013. The 2020 registration fees are $160.00. The 8U season is set up as follows:

8U have two floor times per week (Monday/Wednesday)

• 8U floor times are split into practice and scrimmage, as decided by the coach
• There are typically 4 game weekends (2 games per weekend) that are set at different locations within SALA
• The 8U division does not participate in Playoffs or Provincials; however, a 6U and 8U Festival will be held in Calgary from July 8-12, 2020. Additional information related to the festival can be found here.
• 8U require full gear.

The purpose of 8U is to introduce, reinforce, emphasize, and develop the fundamental skills of lacrosse. The focus of skill sessions as well as games is to promote an environment that encourages participation, skill development, and overall enjoyment of the game.
